Why Bond (and Fleming) does not tell and does not recall the past?

Because Bond has always been like today.

Fleming would not be too lazy to write about Bond’s past, but Bond does not change over time. Something may change around. But Bond himself is the same. And if something changes, it will change not something, but everything.

And the goal of Bond is also not to change something but to remain himself.

In this sense, Bond has no past, he is all in the present. But he probably has a future. At least one more plot. To lose and die, he will need at least one more fight.
